As a young man, Dan McKinnon served in the Navy as a helicopter pilot. He is credited with 62 “saves” on land or sea, which still stands as the Navy’s peacetime helicopter rescue record. He is credited as the founder of North American Airlines during the 1990’s. The video showcased in this segment is the take off and landing process from the USS Helena.
